The Frosolonese craftsman
Frosolone has always been known as the town of knives and scissors. In this regard, a monument dedicated to the craftsman, the oldest and most widespread profession, was a must.

The highly distinctive statue of the craftsman represents the ancient art of blacksmithing.
There is no fixed date for the origin of this art, however some historians trace this tradition back to the 6th century when the Lombards, a notoriously militaristic people, descended into southern Italy.
Subsequently, the agricultural and, above all, pastoral vocation favored the working of metals in the country for the creation of agricultural tools and utensils.
The hammer flies and works miracles in the skilled hands of craftsmen.
The mastery of the craftsmen shapes a glowing blade until it becomes a knife or a pair of scissors,
This work has been the source of livelihood for many Frosolonesi for hundreds of years,
