The Frosolone woman
Built in 2019, the statue of the Frosolone Woman is intended to commemorate the sacrifice and toil of women in carrying out the many tasks within the home, including laundry, farm work, and raising children.
The sculpture is made of stainless steel, a metal that symbolizes strength, sweetness, and innovation.
Represented in the traditional Frosolone costume, she expresses pride of soul and dignity.
The female figure is deliberately without a well-defined face so that any woman can identify with it.
Overall, the aim was to represent the strength of women and remind new generations of the long and difficult journey towards emancipation, the achievement of rights and respect for the individual.
At its feet are placed some reproductions of books to remind us of the fundamental role of education in the development of personality.
