The Stationary Crosses
Frosolone is characterized by the presence of three Stationary Crosses, each located in different corners of the town but within walking distance.

Of particular importance is the stationary cross located in Largo Vittoria.
Here the date 1660 recalls the year of construction and the underlying date 1825 recalls that it was rebuilt after the fatal earthquake of 1805 which had also caused the church to collapse.
On one side of the polylobed frame is the Crucifix with arms ending in the shape of cherubs and the radiant Holy Spirit descending from above in the form of a dove.
On the other side of the Cross stands the Immaculate Virgin resting on a crescent moon. Two lions, once column-bearers, suggest that the ancient church of St. Peter once had a porch, of which all trace has been lost.
The stationary cross in the shape of a tapered pyramid with a sphere on the tip located in front of the church of San Rocco is absolutely original.
In front of the Madonna delle Grazie there is an imposing column with a typical polylobed cross dating precisely to 1732.
